Homework week 9

Goodbye Mrs Pearce

Today was the last Buddy time with Mrs Pearce as the teacher of Room 19. We will be sad to see her go! Mrs Beach is going to be the new teacher in Room 19 so we look forward to more 'buddy' adventures next term!
This afternoon Room 13 were poets and shared their 'What if...' poems about being rock pool creatures with Room 19. Then we had lots of fun with the parachute!
A big thanks to the PTA for our free iceblocks this afternoon :)

Assembly Week 7 and 8

Congratulations to JC for recieving the Special Terrific Person at last weeks assembly and to LS for recieving the Values.

This week AA recieved the Special Terrific Person award at assembly and EP recieved the Values.

Homework Week 7 (starting 16 March)

Assembly Friday 13th March- OUR Assembly!

Wow! Mrs Naidoo and I were blown away with how amazing EVERYONE in Room 13 was at our school assembly on Friday! We were both so PROUD of the way everyone spoke so clearly and performed on the stage! We have had so many lovely comments from parents and other teachers :)

Congratulations to JW for recieving the Special Terrific Person award from Mr T and to LD for recieving the Values award for 'Respect'.

 

 

Year 3 Swimming Carnival

Thankfully the weather held out today so the Year Threes and Fours could hold their Swimming Carnival. A big thank you to Wayne for his help in running the fun relays! There were noodles as horses; cones and balls as ice cream cones and by far the favourite event of Room 13 was the sun safety relay involving sunglasses, cone hats and a 'funky/ crazy/ silly' way to move across the pool!

Assembly 6th March

Today was a special 'Weetbix' assembly run by Room 22! Mr T collected a $5000 cheque because we WON the Weetbix competition! EP and JW wore their Weetbix Triathalon T-Shirts and might be in the newspaper! Keep an eye out for them!
A big thank you to Mrs Nankivell (the weetbix lady) for cheering us on and encouraging us to win the competition! She looked great in her outfit designed and made by Room 16.

 

A big congratulations to HW for being our Special Terrific Person this week and to SD for receiving the Values! Well done girls!

 

Chinese New Year

In Room 13 we have been talking about Chinese New Year. 2015 is the Year of the Goat/Sheep.
We listened to the story of how the years are named after animals, learnt facts about Chinese New Year, read a poem, watched a video clip of a dragon dance and lion dance and J.W brought in his red envelope to talk about and show us how his family celebrates Chinese New Year.
On Friday it was the 15th day of Chinese New Year and the start of the lantern festival. We worked with our buddy class and had lots of fun following instructions to make Chinese lanterns!

Assembly 27th February

Well done to S.K for receiving the Special Terrific Person Award this week.
R.A also went up on stage to receive a special key ring for his bag to celebrate 50 walks with the Walking School Bus! Great work boys!
