What would it be like to be a pilot?
A big thank you to Room 18 and to LM's dad for letting us join them in finding out about the job of being a pilot! Mr M works for Jet Star and showed us videos he had taken from the cockpit of the plane of 'take off' and 'landings'. He answered our many, many questions and might have even inspired some future pilots!
Assembly 22 May

Homework for Weeks 5,6,7
Your task for the next three weeks is to create an A3 poster about a job and present it to your class.
Week 5- This week choose 1 type of job that you want to find out more about.
eg policeman, chef, builder, doctor, vet
Record some questions you would like to find out: For example...
- What do they do?
- What equipment do they need?
- Do they need any training or qualifications?
- How does this job help or impact others?
- Would you want to do this job why/ why not?
Week 6- Do your research about that job focussing on the questions you wanted to find out about. Think about how you can find out the answers to your questions...
Eg. Books, Internet, Interviewing someone who has that job
Week 7- You now need to record this information in an interesting way on an A3 poster. Make sure you include at least 1 picture. Be ready to share your information and poster with your class on Friday 5th June.

a busy and important job too!)
You need to ask the
following questions

What is
your job?
·
What are
the main things you do each day?
·
Do you need
any qualifications to do your job?
·
Do you
enjoy your job?
·
Why did you
choose this job?
·
How does
your job impact/help others?
