Chinese New Year

In Room 13 we have been talking about Chinese New Year. 2015 is the Year of the Goat/Sheep.
We listened to the story of how the years are named after animals, learnt facts about Chinese New Year, read a poem, watched a video clip of a dragon dance and lion dance and J.W brought in his red envelope to talk about and show us how his family celebrates Chinese New Year.
On Friday it was the 15th day of Chinese New Year and the start of the lantern festival. We worked with our buddy class and had lots of fun following instructions to make Chinese lanterns!
