A Letter To a Soldier
21 April 2015
Dear Soldier,
How are you? What was it like to be in a trench? I am very sad that it was dark and cold for you. What did it sound like? I am very proud of you.
Love From,
H.W.

Dear Soldier,
How are you? I feel sad because a lot of soldiers died. Were you very cold in the war? I hope you aren't very hurt. Thank you for fighting for our land. I like that you were brave to fight in the war.
Love From,
E.C

The Letter To The Soldier
21 April 2015
Dear Great Granddad,
How are you? Were you okay in the war? I hope the shrapnel didn't hurt you. It must have been quite
DARK and COLD. The job of being a soldier must have been DIFFICULT. You have defended our country, New Zealand, so well. I just want to say a BIG thank you for protecting us. I am VERY proud of you.
From your great grandchild,
A.A

Letter to a Soldier
21 April 2015
Dear Soldier,
How are you doing? I feel sad that the war happened. It has been one hundred years since the armies had the first world war. I also know that your job has been very tough and difficult. No matter if you get staggered by a shrapnel, we'll never forget you. I wonder if it was very cloudy and all that, but where are you now? What was it like in your past? I thank you for defending our country.
Love From,
J.W

Taking a Look in the Rock Pool
It had happened on Tuesday 16 March when Rm 13 went to Omana Regional Park. Helena, Stella, Lara and Mr Donaldson were in my group. When we started to look in the rock pools, I had a look and a sea anemone nearly closed my eye in! The mud I stepped on was as SQUISHY as a GOOEY SPONGE. The park ranger found a true crab, half crab, shrimp and a fish. One of the rangers found a STARFISH!!! We went to have a look and it was HUGE!!! It was one of the biggest things I had ever seen!!! It felt like I was on a Adventure!!! The trip was great!
